State of the Union.

Current State of the Union: Busy. Happy, but busy.

Lauren has been playing way too hard, and now she must work hard. She has 3 days to do a weeks work. (a very busy week at that.)  We fully expect her to be relieved come Thursday night when she hits the road for cali with her girls.  Grandma came to visit last night, which was also quite enjoyable for Lauren.  Now she must press forward so she can forget about the stress of these 3 long days.  Right now she is getting through with the john mayer Pandora station and by looking forward to getting to see her sister, mimi, and jimmer.

This has been the current state of the union address for Lauren for the week of February 20^th.         

{Now she must go take a test and do her stat hw.}

Current Location: Arches National Park

Getaway adventure for this 3 day weekend:

{Arches National Park, Moab, Utah.}

 

So for president’s day, Chrissy and I drove down to Moab with Jordan, Scott and Chris for a little president’s day get away. Needless to say, it was BEAUTIFUL, and fun place to go on a mini trip with those guys. 

"for friendship" of course.

Only minor problems incurred on our adventure including chris’ executive decision to turn around half way through the canyon to go get gas, but overall, it was quite successful.

Man, all I have to say is God made some beautiful places!

Bucket List

 Bucket list item feature of the day

#3.  Read EVERY Jane Austen Novel.     

Seeing as how there are only 6 and I have already read 2 of them, I have confidence that this should be an easy enough feat. Especially since I'm not planning on kicking the bucket anytime soon.

Even though this one was written 2nd and I have already read it, I shall start with my all time favorite. . .

Pride and Prejudice

Words cannot express my love for this novel, or the movies, or Mr. Darcy.

I am thoroughly looking forward to kicking off my Jane Austen marathon with this one.

So this girl, I don’t know what more to say than she’s Awesome!

Reasons she is awesome:

1.    She’s totes presh.

2.    She a genius.

3.    She’s so dedicated, motivated, driven: whatever it is, she’s like the Enegizer bunny or something. Don’t know how so does it.

4.    She’s totally a baller when it comes to vball.

5.    She’s the sweet one. She makes me smoothies and is always way too nice to me.

So im pretty lucky to have her.

it's funny to see what a little sunshine does to a campus that is used to being covered and snow and hanging out in the freezing weather.

Suddenly it's 56º outside and campus rejoices.  These are people from sunny Texas and California and Arizona etc. . . and we think 56º is warm. Sad really, but we'll take the sunshine.

After church, everyone's in shorts and t-shirts laying in the grass outside studying.

I'm so looking forward to summer. I think i forgot what it feels like to be hot when i walk outside.
